Spice Cake. One-half cup butter
one-half cup sugar ono-half cup mo-
lasses onebalf cup sour milk ono cup
raisins ono teaspoon soda one-half
teaspoon salt one-bait teaspoon all
kinds spice 2i cups flour. This will
make ono large or two small loaves of
cake.
Griddle Cakes. Ono pint sour milk
ono teaspoonful soda one-halt tea-
spoon salt flour for right thickness.
These aro extra good and make a suffi-
cient breakfast for two hearty cat-
ers. Gelatin pudding. Ono quart milk
one cup sugar. Put in double boiler
to heat. Eoak ono package gelatine.
Add tho pink with one-halt cup of cold
water and turn tn hot mixture. Let
nearly come to a boll. Tako from
stovo and add ono tablespoon of van-
illa. To bo eaten with whipped cruam
flavored with vanilla.

Season hot mashed potato with but4
ter salt and pepper and moisten
slightly with hot milk or cream. Beat
with a silver fork until creamy; then
press into a buttered shallow pan.
Cool slightly and remove from pan.
