was on trial Wednesday. It seems
that Agent Harvev has had consider
able trouble with tho colored poopto
over taking coal and on January 25th
two colored boys were seer to leave
the railroad grounds with a sack of
coal and agent TIarvey accompanied
by John and Clevo McBee followed
the young chaps to a colored homo
whore they inquired about whose boys
they were but could not get much
information from the colored woman.
Robert Gant "appeared on tho Bcono
and trlod to argue Mr. Harvey out ef
his claim on the sack of coal when
Mr. Harvey told him to get tho boys
and como with him. at this Gant
hositated and made several very 111-
called for moves. When Mr. Harvey
insisted on his gotting tho boys and
going with him Grant turned and
knocked Mr. Harvey down and before

grown and the delay in the doll very

hardship imposed on rural carriers
InciJent thereto you are imformed
that commencing February 15 prox-
imo rural letter carriers will not bo
required to collect loose coins from
rural mail boxee.
Patrons should enclose coins in an
envelope wrap them securely in a
piece of paper or deposit them in a
coin-holding receptacle so they can
be easily and quickly taken from box-
es and carriers will be required to
lift such coins a..d where accom-
panied by mail for dispatch attach
the requisite stamps.

A report has got rbroa' n some
way or other that the building being
erected by the Hill Paving Co. near
the railroad track Is Intended for &
Commissary. This is absolutely not
tho case but it is to boused as a ce-
ment ahed. The Hill Paving Co.
have never as yet gone into the com-
missary business any whero and does
not Intend to mako a beginning in
AnvJarko. Futhormore Mr. Hill
states that in view ot having been
awarded tho paving contracts ho feels
under obligation to advance tho b u-
n8 interests of AnadarKo to the ox-
tent of hfa ability and stands ready
m co-opfrate with tho Commercial
Club nt any tlmo in tho way of secu-
