Rumored Suacldc.
It is persistently rumored that
Miss O'Donnell of this city has
committed suacide. It is reported
that she was in the bus coming
from the Choctow bepot to the llo
tel when she suddenly drew a re
volver from the bosom of her dress
placed it against her temple aud
tired. She was-quickly taken to a
hotel but death was instantaneous.
Mrs. Berger states that she read an
account of it in one of the EIReuo
papers which stated that she was a
iixteon year old girl formerly em
ployed by theElRun and Topeka
Telephone Company at Am.darko
The story is generally beleived
She was employed here but some
weeks ago she became hysterical
and was compelled by her ill health
to quit work. She went to her
homo in Wena Arkansas where
her parents live. Her mother was
taken ill here a few months ago
aud lost her mind. This and other
troubles so preyed on Miss O'Con-
nell'smind that she became hyster
ical and was on the point of beeom
ing insane. We hope there is some
mistake about the story but if rrue
tho Democrat extends sympathy to
her father and mother with whom
we were well acquainted.
