An Enjoyable Evening
The beautiful home of Mr.
and Mra. L. W. Meyera waa the
Bcene of a very enjoyablo affair
last evening when they entertain-
ed a number of their young
friendB in honor of their niece

The prinoipal feature was the
placing on the table of a number

musical term and the company
oalled on to guesa the term. Then
a Blip of paper waa handed to
each guest with the word "sym-
phony" written on it Tho gueata
were to make aa many words by
oombining the letters in 'sym-
phony" as possible. Four of tho
guests got the same numbor of
worda and to determine who
should have the prize tho four
guessed at the number of pages
in a book. MiBB Anna White
guessed tho exaot number of
pages and received the prize a
piece of music Refreshments of
cake ice Cream and salted al
monda wore served and all ro-
port a most enjoyablo evening
with MrB. Myers bb hostess.
Mr. and Mra. John Gathers of
Meridian Oklahoma have beon
visiting his Bister Mra. Yarnoll
since the death of her husband.
They intended to leave today for
their home but were detained by
the illness of thoir son. Mr. and
Mrfl. Gathers aro old residonters
of Anadarko He haa lived in
this county since 1888 leaving
a year after tho opening. Mrs
Gathers is a daughter of ex-
Indian Agent V. T. Walker.

the Demoorat office today. Mr.
Scales formerly lived in Corsica-
na Texas coming to Cudao
county two months ago. Ho will
live on a leased Indian allotment

power damaged through over-

Scales is a praotical farmor and
