The state avers that Hyde poisoned
Swope to obtain a part of his wealth.
Ho Is being tried on only one of
tho eleven charges of murder and
attempted murder coutnluc4 In the
grand Jury Indictments.
Contrary to expectations the crowd
in the court room was small when tho
case was called.
For the first time tdnce that mem-
orable December ISth last when
Hyde left the Swope homo under fire
Mrs. Hyde and her mother Mrs. Lo-
gan O. Swope met today. Although
i they sat In the court room within a
few feet of each other there was
no sign of recognition between them.
Hyde once turned in his chair and
faced his mother-in-law. For Just one
moment the two staled detlauce at

move his eyes. He turned and smiled
