FEDERAL BUILDING PROSPECTS
Sub-Committee of House Appointed
to Pass on Projects.
Washington Dec. 20. At a meet-
lug or the public building commit-
tee cf the house today the follow-
ing members were appointed a sub-
committee to pass on bills for pub-
lic buildings In Texas and Oklaho-
ma: Representative Andrtis of 'Now
York Martin of South Dakota
Creager of Oklahoma Shcppard of
Texas and Johnson of Swth Caro-
lina. This action Indicates that the com-
mittee Is getting In shape to prepare
a public building bill In the event
that prospects for the passage of
such a measure become brighter.
The "pork barrel" outlook Is not par-
ticularly promising In view of the
better prospects for a rivers and
harbor bill although members of
the house appropriation committee
have given it out that If congress
does not Increase the largo appro-
priations of the committee there
may 1m 1oth a waterways and a
pubic buildings bill.

Cook has been In a Mexican prison
for months as a result of tho robbery
