er remaining on the tracks.

Charley Kelley who was convicted

whisky and was released on au ap-
peal bond was caught again last
night by Deputy hindrum. Kelley
had offered to sell some whisky to
a stranger who proved to be an officer
from l'urcell the officer after toll'ng
Mr. Landrum of tho offer made by
Kelley went back and bought a ootthi
of whisky from kelley and as they
wero making tho change Kelley was
taken lit charge by Mr. Laudrum and
escorted to tho jail wliero ho will
likely remain for some few weok3.
Mr. Laudrum also fired a few sho'a
at au unknown bootlegger who had
alighted from the northbound Santa
Fo with two cases of whisky ono of
tho bullets from the officer's gun

tho bootlegger dropped the whisky
and escaped. Tho sheriff's forco
say that they aro going to mako life
so hard for tho bootlegger and whis-
ky peddler that they will havo to
move to greener pastures
Vlrg Austin who has been In Jail
for tho past few days charged with
