1190 VOTES CAST.
Tho site of the old Hargrove col-
lege seems to ! ti.u choice of tho
Hople of Ardmore for the location
of tho new $100000 high school
building it the votes cast in the
Ardinorelto's contest mean anything.
There were 1 1 00 votes cast with
Hargrove first the Christian church
property second and the Lee proper-
ty on West Main third. The ones
who favored location No. 2 saved
up their votes until the end and
yesterday 200 were sent In.
This contest ot course does not do-
cldo tho location. It was only an
endeavor on the part of the Ard-
morelte to give tlie school board
through these votes nil idea or how
tho peoplo stood with regard to tho
locations that were at that time bo-
rore them.
Tho Ardmorelte up to this time
has advocated tin selection or neith-
er of these site but will havo some-
thing to say on tho subject later.
It wns hoped that by tho time tho
cout-st was over that tlie school
board would be in a iwsltlon to make
a decision ror themselves and begin
active work on the new building so
that It might at least havo been
ready for occupancy but ns the mat-
ter now stands it may be months
before they are nble to know how
the bond Issue enme out and it will
then take more timo to select a site
ask for bids nnd get roady. Ard-
more will be In luck If It gets a new
high school building ready for tlie
opening of school next year.
How tlie vote stood:
