ed the destroyers of his homo and

At 1 o'clock this afternoon Warden
Cleghorn of tho state penitentiary
through uu Interpreter Antonio Sas-
so a prison guard rend the death
warrant to Alia. Contrary to expec-
tations the prisoner exhibited no
emotion and when the rending was
finished said "All right. I am ready
to die now.'-

At 8:30 o clock everything being In
readiness the warden s assistants ap-
proached Alla's cell and led tho con
demned man to the execution house

adjusted by tho deputy warden.
During tills procedure Alia became
