McDougul. chief of police was mortal-
ly wounded this evening by a carpen-
ter named Albright when the latter
was attempting to shoot a saloon
man named Audenon.
Anderson yesterday had Albright
arrested for a minor offense and on
being released today the lattor went
to the Mderson saloon where Mc-
IioUKal and Albright's intended vic-
tim were talking.
Albright filed and the ofllccr fell
mortally wounded.
