Mclntyre's New York Cotton Letter.
During tho past week In tho cotton
market tho trade has witnessed two
Important events tho firso being tho
Census bureau glnners' report which
proved bullish In character and was
regarded by many as having been dis-
counted by tho recent advance and
fecond the meeting of the revision
committee of tho Now York Cotton
Kxehango tho result of which was un-
satisfactory to tho trado generally.
This dissatisfaction was expressed In
a sharp raid made against tho market
by leading local operators In which
prices were carried down 31 to 38
points from tho top prices of the day
before. Towards tho end of tho week
prices became Ii regular though a good
feteadj undertone was in evidence at
all times.
W'. look for a good traders market
from now on anil think If the bull side
Is adhered to and purchases made on
sharp declines. It will prove decidedly
tho most profitable.
