New TurK Cotton Letter.
Ardmore I. T. Oct. 4. Fol
lowing is New York cotton let-
ter by Mclntyre:
The cotton market was much
quieter and steadier today.
There was so much forced liqui
dfition of sphculativc accounts
and so much short Selling in-
dulged In on the 40 point break-
yesterday that this selling pres
sure naturally in a gradual way
exhausted that shortly after
the opening. There was a de
cline then of about eight points
chiefly after tne completion of
liquidation by belated holders
because the Livcrpoel markets
showed more of a decline than
was necessary to have equaled
hur net loss yesterday.
