received hero tonight of the (lestruc
tive storm and wind rain and hail
which swept portions of Anson Scott
laiul. Union and Richmond counties
In Scottland county devastation was
complete only the bare stubblo of the

blown down. Tho tobacco cotton
and corn crops aro a total loss. No

Whisky peddlers had distribute

deal of shooting but only Patterson
was injured. The M . K. U T. trains
passing through the towns were
stoned by the negroes and many win-
dows were broken. The ex Dress

Wybark is a negro town at the
Junction of the M.. K. & T. and the
M.. K. it Q. A white man Is not al-
lowed 1 stop there after suneet. and
the negroes have everything their
own way. The rioting has been
stcppi by officers.

squaw of Jim Scott the tallest Fox
Indian of this territory gave birth to
n pair of twins In Ulysses Grant s
