A Church Social.
Last night at tho homo of Mr. and
Mrs. Ed Ilyrd at 545 II street north-
west tho ladles of tho Cumberland
Presbyterian church gave an Ice
cream and cake social.
The ladles had everything fixed
lovely the tables wcro sot on tho
spacious luwn and Japanese Ian
terns cast their many dif
ferent colors upon the secene. Tho
ladles should bo thanked for their
untiring work In preparing the re-
fieshments. There was a good
crowd In nttemElncc and several dol
lars were cleared.

phone pole throwing Mr. Crane from
the buggy running on up the street

the City N'atlonnl bank without doing
much damage to the buggy. Mr.
Craln was not so fortunate being
bruised up some though he Is very
much better this morning.
