"Take It From Me" Took

Surprise
"Take It From Me" took Tulsa by
ngroeublo surprise. A regular plot
in a tunotul musical comedy proved
an iinnxpectod doparture from tho
usual mimical comedy which basea
Us plea for patronagtt on a bevy ot
girls whose pulchrltudo la their chief
asset and on e. deluge ot slapstick
comedy.
There were plenty ot attractive
girls In "Take It From Mo" and
their charms wero appreciated. Hut
thero wan a real plot running
through tho play In addition to cap-
tivating songH and irootl comedy.
"Take It From Me" has a hero
whose Ictitastlo Ideas about run-
ning ft modorn department store
get him Into the sort ot difficulties
which aro amusingly exciting Tho
audience really folt anxious to hava
him show a profit at the end of the
your and outwit and cunning stock
holders. It was an innovation to
Tutsans to see floorwalkers gliding
about tholr duties on roller skates.
Then there was a vampy one of
those "Oh Hoy" camps In tho per-
son ot Marjorle Sweet. She knows
how. Whenever eho assumed ono
of her Inimitable camplsh looks n
lot of Tulsa wlvos turned to watch
the effect on the.tr husbands and
unconsciously tightened tholr grips
on tholr spouses' arms
Among tho popular hits Introduced
In "Take It From Mo" were "Tip
Toe" "Tho Tanglefoot" "llomor-
row" 'It's Different Now "Take It
From Me" "The Tanglefoot Trot"
"The Call of thB Coxy Little Home."
"I Like to Linger In the Llngerlo"
Tho Kits" "To Have and to Hold"
and "Camouflags"
