fancy and unknown to each other

efforts of the sister separating hus-
band and wife. The dual role of the
dveriuress and mother Is in the
hands of Miss Ijotta Emmons who
plays the part of the injured wife and
he adventuress in a pleasing way.
houab at times the audience is at a
loss to understand how the chauge
takes place. There are bright spark.1-
of clever comedy that run through the
piece particularly those of Rlchan'

ble in a laughable fun-provokinc man

SEMI-ANNUAL OPENINGS
Of Ardmore's Fashionable Millinery
Houses.
The sml-aaaual opening of the Ard-
more millinery houses have been in
progress yesterday and today. The
occasion brought down town a vast
number of the Ardmore ladle who
spent hours wading tnrongh the ex-
quisite headwear on display at the
different houses. Many ladles from
the adjacent country were among the
crowds and shared m the delight pro-
duced by the array of elegant hats.
The millinery houses of Mr Iowen-
stein. Miss Balrd Mrs. Spurgeon and
Miss Collins were crowded yesterday
afternoon and evening and again this
afternoon. The town never possess-
ed an array of prettier hats in its his-
tory and the enthnslasnt of the mil-
liners hi shared by every lady visitor
to the stores. The millinery was so
attractive that quite a number of m. n
conM not resist strolling through th-
nailors and while their adjevr.ves t
nresalve of delight are limited to a
few of only the simplest Ideas their
manner save evidence of the appre
elation of the fall styles and their
thoughts turned lightly to pretty hats
and bonnets. There Vras a "please
make yourself at home" atmosphere
pervading each of the four places an l
the visitors were never in a hurry to
leave. The goods on display are high
class sensible profuse in assortments
and good taste was used In the dis-
play and presentation. These estab-
lishments are conducted by people who
:bw how to cater to people who ap-
preciate the beautiful the luxurious
not so much the rich and fashionable
but tha discriminating. The unani-
mous pardlct ptonouaeed by every
visiter" was that the display and decor-
ations were In harmony with perfect
tnste and that the handsome patterns
were in rkymth with Madame Fash-
ion's latest deereos.
The ladies of Ardmore should and
do appreciate the efforts of the mil-
liners of the city and It is safe to say
that no city even twice the siae ot
our own. can surpass our milliner.
Mores in assortment elegance good
taste comfort and convenience and a
distinct characteristic of each house
is honesty of purpose and the givlr.g
of good values In rollable goods.
