hitched his horse In front of Ram-
sey's drug store for a few minutes
while ho went up the street. On his

This enviable reputation is but tho direct result of
ur painstaking carefulness concerning detnilH of quality
hd work and our habit of nlwnys giving tho lowest or'tco
n overyimug.
Ask any prominent physican or
resident of Ardmorc for the beat
place to buy drugs or have a pre-
scription filled and you are in-
variably directed to
What Ardmore Needs.
Tho sere and yellow loaf Is here
cold winter's blasts will soon appear
and many n shivering suffering one
will need n helping hnnd. while some
will call tor aid who ought to help
themselves. Ardmore hns grown to n
i own of such slue and of so large n
population thnt some system In the
management of her benevolence Is
needed. No orgnulxntlon desorve
more praise than the Benevolent So-
ciety. They hnvo been faithful untir-
ing in their work In season and out
of season. They have done much good
In the past nnd and tho field of their
labors widens every year. To the
writer's knowledge some hnvo un-
worthily Imposed themselves on the
care of this association. In ninny
cases It Is almost Impossible to dis-
criminate the worthy from the un-
worthy. Our city ought to hnvo n
board of charity whose business It
should bo to Investigate nil cases that
become a chnrge upon tho city or tho
Itencvolcnt Soclc'y and issue tickets
to tho worthy. If It nppenrs that tem-
porary needs exists let provision bo
niado for Immediate wants until In-
vestigation can be made into tho raor-
Its of the case. Also such a board
should Include In their duties the find-
ing Inbor for such worthy poor as
are temporarily out of employment.
Our city hi grown to such propor-
tions thnt there now exists a demand
for systematic charity. Tho greatest
need of the city Is a small charity
hospital with ten to twenty beds In
which the unfortunate sick can be
properly cared for. This would savo
a largei amount of expense nnd give a
care that such patients could not re-
ceive under existing conditions. Even
n temporary military hospttnl would
answer the purpose and should this
society receive the $500 It could bo do-
voted to no bettor purpose than erect-
ing such a. building as wo havo tl.o
ground on which to put up a hospital.
Let the citizens of Ardmore tnko this
matter under consideration.
