Claude Hopkins has sold his cattle
toJohn Richardson ana has moved
to his placo In the Comraanche coun-
try. J. V. Wooton has returned from a

Kansas City Mo. Sept. 10. Quar-
antine Bupply was light again this
week and outsldo or Tuesday whoa
steers dragged a little sales havo
been readily mado at satisfactory
prlcoa. Cows havo been In tho major-
ity and havo sold best. Kow calves
havo been here but tho Bupply to day
had some that brought G.0O. top prlco
of tho season. Steers havo sold from
JJ.S0 to ?3.55 with most salos at $3.20.
Mr. Harris' Bhlpmont from Elgin to-
day woighod 001 and brought $3.55.
Cows havo brought from $2.15 to ?2.65
with bulk of sales at ?2.30 to $2.40.
One or two strings of twiners sold
under $2.00. Some 200-pound calves
brought $5.00 to-day. A load of 1017-
pound bulls brought $2.10 yesterday.
Takon all around tho market to-day
is the best of tho wcok and a shade
uctlcr than tho best market of last
week.
Hog prices suffered a reaction af-
ter the high markot of last ThursJay
of 25 cents but this loss has mostl
beon recovered since. Tho gen-
eral tendency Is upward althoufcu mar-
ket of to-day Is 5 cents lower than
yesterday. Top to-day Is $C10 and
bulk of nil sales from $5.90 to $G.OO
Shcop recolpta at Kansas City con-
tlnuo short of tho domnnd both from
packors and country buyors. Most
of tho stuff Is wostorn and muttons
bring up to $3.75. lambs sold at $5.50
to day top for a long time. Feeding
grade bring $3.35 for wothors and
around $4.00 for Iambs.
