but I refused to do so nnd told him

nnd should troat us as a fatlior should.

nnd got a gun nnd would return and
kill us nil. I tried to dissuade him
from IiIh purposo to calm him. Ho
refused to do othcrwlso thnn to enrry
out his threat nnd mounted his horso
to rldo to a neighbor's as I supposed
for a gun to carry out his threat. I
could not stand tho Idea of permitting
him to kill my mothor nnd tho rest of
tho family nnd when ho Btartod to
