Says
McKinley Violates Faith By
Ucstralnlnv: Control.
Tinln. Neb.. June 9. Mr.
Rrran declnres that if President
McKinley does not want to face
the charire of violating' goou
faith with the Cubans and
breaking his solemn promise to
withdraw troops as soon as a
government is formally organ-
ized ho must act without wait
ing for congress.
Uo says McKinley can do only
one thing. That is to ascertain
If rmcitlcntion exists in Cuba and
if It dooq. his solemn duty is to
leave tho control of the island to
the people whom congress de-
clared should be freo and inde-
pendent. Cuba's rights do not depond
on tho sanction of politicians of
tho United States. Thoir rights
came from tho same divino
source as did tho right of Amer-
icans. Cougross has no moro right to
enact laws for tho government
of Cuba than it would liuvo for
Frauco or Gormany.

strates the fact that we do not
havo to send off and get n noted

does present the practical side of
Christianity and insist on accept-
ing Christ from a bible standpoint
Up-to-date we kave had a fine
meeting. Several conversions and
accessions to the church.
