Guthrie Okla. April 19 State Dank
Comnilsisoner A. M. Young is very
much pleased at the way national
banks within and outseide the state are
expressing their approval of his re-
cent order that all national banks
which desire to carry reserve deposits
for Oklanoma state banks must sub-
mit to wo examinations a year by the
state banking department. Mr. Young
in the mall today received nearly a
score of letters from national banks
A number of them In other states ex-
pressing appr val of the new regula-
tion. Coinniisisoner Young has stated
that lie will assign one of his best
depu'y examiners to the business of
examining national banks exclusively
and he believes that there will be
enough of tnis business to keep one
man busy all the time. The Gklaho-
niu banking department now has eight
bank examiners in the field the full
quota allowed under the law.
Among the national banks that noti-
fied Dank Commislsoner Young that
t!iey would willingly submit to exam-
ination by the state department are:
First National Dank of El Reno; Com
mercial National at Muskogee; First
National at Wichita Vails. Tex.; Amer-
ican National of Fort Smith Ark.;
Merchants' and Planters' of Sherman
Tex. and the Forth Smith Hank and
Trust company.

WOMAN APPEARS IN
BULLETTE TRAGEDY
Clan more Okla. April 1 !. That John
F.ullette came to his death from a bul-
let tired by the lover of a woman with
whom Dullette w;s also Infatuated is
the story that is going the rounds in
this city for which there appears to
be some foundation. A letter found
on Dullcttc's body Is said to contain
a warning trom tin- woman to look
out for a certain man.
It is Dirtlier said that Dullette asked
the night policeman here to watcli all
night trains to see if a certain man
pot off and if he did to instanly no-
blow with a revolver felling him. The
mob then completed its work.
Dobbltt was killed Febnury 27th
last. Mo was driving In a wagon a
few miles out of Ada. when he was
shot from ambush. The assassin es-
caped on horseback and there was
no evidence save the shoes on the
murderer's animal which had been re-
moved a few miles from the crime.
Miller and his companions were sus-
pected of knowing who committed the
crime.
Waller IVeler aged seventeen a
nephew of Miller who was confined In
the jail for complicity in the murder
was Hot molested by the lynchers. Me
turned states evidence a week ago
and was being heul as a witness.
In the mob it Is said Were many of
the most prominent citizens of Ada.
The authorities alleged that Allen and
West who were wealthy cattlemen of
Canadian Tex. hired Miller to kill
P.obbilt. and that Drown had paid
money to Miller. Allen West and
I'oblmt were neighbor ranchmen in
Seminole county and trouble is alleg-
ed to have been due to an old disagreement.
