THE BEST GAME
THIS
SEASON
The Golden Rule baseball team won
from the Joplir. C. and F. Tire com-
pany team in the first of a three game
series at the Electric park yesterday
afternoon by a score of 4 to 3.
The game was beyond any doubt
the best exhibition of baseball seen in
Vinita this season. The game was
played fast and in a snappy way that
keep the spectators Interest at the
highest pitch and while the crowd
was small yesterday the enthusiastic
rooting of those present gave promise
that a much larger crowd will be in
attendance at. this afternoon's game
between these two teams.
The slab work yesterday was in the
hands of Billingslea for Vinita and
Sheppard for the Joplin players and
they both worked in a most credit-
able manner keeping the hits few and
scattered.
The game today will be called at
four o'clock in order to allow the bus-
iness men to attend at Electric Park.
