Charles Pfannkuche's baby taking
the Pasteur treatment at Oklahoma
City for a dog bite received Saturday
is said to be in a serious condition.
After a nexamination of the dog's
head the Institute authorities declared
the dog to have had hydrophobia.
One of the most delightful social af
fairs of the week was the Valentine
social given by the ladies of the Pres-
byterian church at .the home of Mr.
and Mrs. J. I. Morning. Music and
conservation together with several
contests were the features of the
evening. The affair also proved quite
a financial success.

Absolute Title Giver.
About 1800000 acres of unallotted
lands of the Five Civilized Tribes in
Oklahoma will be sold at public auc-
tion to the highest bidder at the fol-
lowing terms times and places:
Not more than 160 acres of agricult
ural or 640 acres of other lands will
be sold to one person in any one Na-
tion. Terms: 25 per cent at the time
of sa'e 25 per cent In six months and
50 per cent within eighteen months
with 6 per cent interest. Upon full
payment being made at any time deed
will promptly issue. Immediately after
approval of sale certificate of pur-
I chase will Issue and possession given
but cutting of timber thereon not per
mitted until full payment of purchase
price. Right is reserved to reject any
or all bids.

or the United States Indian Superin
tendent Union Agency Muskogee
Oklahoma or at the offices of the var-
ious district agents. Lists of these
lands have been prepared by counties
showing the terms of sale the descrip-
tion of the various tracts and minimum
price of sale. It will be Impracticable
to furnish each Inquirer all of these
lists and it is suggested that persons
desiring such information specify the
county or locality in which he is in
terested.
Blue prints of the various counties
showing the location of the land to be
sold will be furnished to applicants by
the Commissioner to the Five Civilized
Tribes upon the payment of $1.00 for
each county in the form of 'draft or
postal money order.

Judge Thos. H. Owen of Muskogee.

Dr. C. N. Gould state geologist and
professor of Oklahoma geology at the
university of Oklahoma has been se
lected to speak for Oklahoma at the
session of the Southern Commercial
Congress to be held in Atlanta Ga.

Prof. Gould will take as his subject
"The Relation of the Mineral Re-
sources of Oklahoma to the Industries
of the South." The meeting will be
attended by President Taft ex-President
Roosevelt the cabinet members
most- of the southern governors and
a number of economists and authori-
ties on industrial problems. That the
work of the state university is becom-
ing so widely recognized and its in-
structors are securing prominence as
specialists in their lines beyond the
orders of the commonwealth :is a
source of felicitation alike to the stu-
dents and graduates of the institution
and the citizens of Oklahoma
