Those expert railroad fellow who
linger out a loss) to all the roads on the
'two-cent fare basis will have to show
the people of Oklahoma.
The long-winded candidate for olllee
in Oklahoma who thinks the Chieftain
will run a two column announcement
as news is mistaken. It will take the
dough at the regular rates.
One of the indispensible needs of
Vinita Is a modern hotel with capacity
enough to take care of the rapidly in-
creasing business of the city. A large
amount of fedural court business re-
cently went away from Vinita solely
oa account of lack of hotel accomo-
dations. O . (
A rap at the rich from the New York
American. "Divorce has come to he
almost a pastime tu certain fashion-
able circles. There Is scarely a family
in the so-called higher class untouch-
ed by the evil of divorce and some by
two or three divorces In a single fam-
ily. Following one increasing round of
pleasure flitting like butteriies from
flower to flower of fancy sipping
lightly und slipping away life to many
of privileged rank has become such
an epitome of self indulgence that to
feel a desire carries the demand for
Its gratification. The divorce evil has
flourished under this ve y tree of
Upas. At the rate at which "society"
nided by the co-irts is sweeping barriers-down
that hinder self indulgence
marriage will Bpeedily become an In-
cident amf not a sacrament. Polygamy
under short sub-divisions of time will
become the custom If not the law of
the land.' -It Is neither illogical nor im-
probable along prenent lines to fore-
cast the time w hen these men and wo-
men will ask each other:' 'Who Is to
be your wife for the next season?' or
'Is your" last husband to be with you
for another year?" "

Guthrie banker is quoted as criticis-
ing the expenditure of money by the
state administration and among other
wholly untruthful statements is made
to say that two years of taxes has
been collected by the present adminis-
tration when the fact is that up to
the present time only a part of one
year's taxes has been collected. The
107 tax was levied upon Oklahoma
property but not ujmn Indian Terri-
tory property and the first legislature
realizing the Inequality of this tax
remitted it and no slate tax was col-
lected until last winter.

which they could avoid paying taxes.

duction tax is also in court in fact
the state has not yet collected one-
half of what il should collect or one

Mr. Neal Is quoted as saying that
the outstanding state debt is now
$1600000 when in fact it Is $160000
less than that amount lie is also

are collected will 'more than pay all
state debts and expenses.
Mr. McNeal well knows that all of
these things are true and It is very
probable that Mr. McNeal never made
such statements. It has been the poli
cy of the republican press bureau to
misquote prominent republicans for
the purpose of attempting to discredit
the state administration and it is pos-
sible that Mr. McNeal like Mr. Chand-
ler has been a victim of their un-
scrupulous methods.

justment. This model is also design-

Henderson Corsets are the Corsets of Good
Style and real Comfort
KVE didn't wear corsets. If we are
to credit the gossip of neighbors she
always bemoaned the fact that there
were no corset shops on the streets of
Eden. Still Eve didn't really need a
corset. - She led a simple life it Is
said minus theaters late suppers
bridge whist parties and other festive
indulgences. She kept herself In good
physical condition and her figure was
accordingly perfect. It Is rumored
when Adam and Eve strolled leisurely
down Eden Boulevard on a pleasant
Sunday afternoon everyone comment-
ed on her graceful carriage and stylish
figure.
Hut it's different now. Eve's modern
sister is not naturally ; blessed with a

know where and how the figure will

productive of the most perfect model-
ing possible. To these three princi-
pals are due the general excellence of
design of the Henderson Fashion Form
Corset. Every conceivable proportion
and size of figure are taken into con-
sideration and individual corsets in
accordance with the prevailing fash-
ion are planned for each figure' tall
short medium slender or stout.
Now it's plainly apparent if every
possible figure Is thus analyzed and a
special corset designed to suit each
individual requirement the fit and
comfort of the corset will be most
