Wagoner.
Has Been Postponed in Conse
quence Jurors and Witnesses
Have Been Notified Several
Deaths Have Occurred and the
Situation is Very Grave.
The March term of court that was
to be convened next Monday at Wag
oner has been postponed owing to the
prevalence of smallpox In that town.
The authorities of Wagoner admit
that there are upwards of fifty cases
all of a malignant form and that the
situation is very grave. The physi-
cians are doing every tiling in their
power to stamp out the disease. Al-
ready there has been several deaths.
Assistant Prosecuting Attorney
Pvider has returned from Muskogee
and with the assistance of Mr. V. D.
Adams is sending out notices to all
jurors and witnesses not to respond
to the summons commanding their
attendance at Wagoner Monday.
This necessitates a vast amount of
labor.
It has not yet been determined
whether Judge Gill will go to Musko-
gee uext week to preside over the
civil session of the court or whether
Judge Thomas will continue on that
bench.

menced on the construction of a
branch line or "feeder" from Guthrie
through the Kiowa and Comanche
country to Acme Texas. The con-
tract fur the grading of the roadbed
has already been let. The line will
be in operation by the time of the op
ening of the new country for settle
ment.
