It is rather unusua lto see graphical-
ly represented on the stage of a the-
atre a real circus with real horses
ponies dogs and a trained elephant

truly portrayed at the Auditorium on
I January 9. It is made possible by
the Ingenuity and cleverness of Fred-
Vic Thompson a young man who a

City and by his dash and dare re
volutionized the then prevailing big
amusement enterprises in and around.

CELEBRATE
San Diego Cal Jan. 2 A program
designed to occupy at least three days
is being arranged tor the occasion of
the breaking of ground for the Panama
California exposition in : 1915 . The
ceremonies are to be held at some ap-
nrowiate date during the .coming
spring probably in the early part of
April and the plana that are now be-
ing laid for the event indicate that it
will be the biggest and grandest pub
lic affair ever undertaken in southern
California. . f .. .
Announcement already has been
made that Count Jacques de Lesseps
son of . the great Frenchman whose
genius conceived the plan of the Pan-
ama canal will come to San Diego to
preside over the ceremonies and the
outline of the program as now. made
gives one day to the civic ceremonies
with appropriate exercises in Balboa
park the site of the exposition; an
other day to splendid pagentry and
dramatic discovery of the Pacific
ocean and the early settlement of Cal
ifornia and Ban Diego and a third day
to outdoor games and sports on land
and water with a fitting close in a
night of joyous revelry. . h

plans of the arrangement of Balboa
park in San piego for several months
promises that everything will be in
readiness for . the breaking ground
ceremonies early In the coining spring
and it has been planned to begin then
the erection of the first one of the ex
position buildings probably the great
art museum which is to remain auer
the close of the exposition as one of
the permanent features of San Diego's
wonderful Balboa park. Those who
attend the ceremonies next spring will
be abe to gain a comprehensive idea
.of. the scope and. character of . the
unique International exposition which
San Diego is preparing.
Invitations are to be sent to the gov
ernors and other officials of all of the
Pacific coast states and to many other
.notable persons in the United States
and other countries to attend the
ceremonies and take part in them.
Letters have been received by Col. D.
C. Collier director general of the ex
position saying (hat excursions will
be brought to San Diego from various
parts of the country for the occasion.
It is not over estimating to say that
probably ten thousand people will be
attracted to San Diego to witness the
novel and spectacular ceremonies.

fcr the Payment cf Material Labor
sr.d Supplies Furnjshed and Used in
the Extension .Re-equipment and Inv
provement of the Water Works Sys
tern of the. City of Vinita Oklahoma
andcDeclaring an Emergency.
Whereas the persons whose names
appear in Section 1 of this Ordinance
have furnished to the City of Vinita
Oklahoma material labor and supplies
Vinita Oklahoma
for the extension re-equipment and
improvement of the Water Works sys-
tem of said City of the yaluo set op-
posite the name of sajd persona which
said sums are now due and unpaid.
And Whereas the said City of Vin-
ita Oklahoma. .has received the bene-
fit of the material supplies and labor
so furnished and has used the same
in the extension re-equipment and im-
provement of said Water Works sys-
tem and has incorporated the same
into the Water Works system of the
said City of Vinita.
And Whereas said parties have pre
sented in the manner provided by jaw
their claims against said City for said
labqr material and supplies so furn-
ished and used as aforesaid. .
And Whereas said claims have been
audited and approved by the Water
Commissioners of said City and by the
Finance Committee of the Council of
said City; now therefore
Be it Ordained by the Mayor and
