Assisted by Cuticura Ointment the great skin core for presem'ng purify-
ing and beautifying the skin for cleansing the scalp of crust? scales and
dandra2 and the stopping of falling hair for foftening whitening &1
healing red rough and sore hands for baby rashes itchings and chadngs
In the form of baths for annoying irritations inflammations and excoria
tions or too free or offensive perspi-
ration in the form of washes for
ulcerative weaknesses and for many
sanative antiseptic purposes which
readily suggest themselves to women
especially mothers and for all the pur-
poses of the toilet bath and nursery.
Jfo amount of persuasion can induce
those who have once used these great
skin purifiers and beautiflers to use
any others especially for preserving
and purifying the skin scalp and hair
of infants and children. Cuticura
Soap combines delicate emollient
properties derived from CtrnccnA the
great skin cure with the purest of
cleansing Ingredients and the most
refreshing of flower odors. "So other
ntdlcaitd soap is to be compared with
it for preserving purifying and beautifying the skin scalp hair and hand3.
No other foreign or domestic toilet soap however expensive Is to be com-
pared with it for all the purposes of the toilet bath and nursery. Thus it
combines in One Soap at Oxe Price viz. Twenty-five Cents the best
skin and complexion soap the BEST toilet and baby soap in the world.

About midway between thia
city and Welch J. I. Morning of
the Ratclifl Mercantile Company
was held up last night but after
an exciting experience with the
knight of the road made his
escape through an exhibition of
splendid nerve and rktllful horse-
manebip. Mr. Morning who had
spent the day in Welch in tbe in-
terests of tbe Ratcliff Mercantile
Company bad noticed several
louDgers during tbe afternoon
who eeemtd to be watching him
closely. His suspicions were at
once arousicd as he bad collected a
large sum of money for bis firm
and bad unwittingly dieplayed the
money bag to the men who were
evidently following his every
movement. An important engage-
ment in Ibis city last night neces-
sitated bis return 10 hurriedly
completing his collections be left
tbat town without attracting
notice shortly before dark and
speeding hie team attempled to
place miles between bita and tbe
eu&picious looking 6trargers be-
fore bis escape was discovered.
Several times he stopped his
team to listen for the hoof beats
of his expected pursuers and once
thought that he could distinguish
tbe tramp of horses off to the
west of tbe toad. Calling on his
horses be sped awsy through the
gathering darkness in a desperate
attempt to prevent their heading
him off. Mile alter mile the
spirited team eped onward over
the rough road but were
showing signs of distress from the
terrific pace tbat compelled Mr.
Morning to check them about
midway the distance to thia city.
Turning a sharp curve in the road
a figure loomed up in clear
silhouette but a dozen paces
away. Instantly realiiing his
danger Morning dropped to tha
body of his buggy and lashing
his excited team plunged straight
at the threatening" form that
blocked his way. Nobly did tbe
tired animals respond as with a
snort of fright they leaped forward
and were pawing wildly at tbe
surprised figure that attempted to
check their course before it could
avoid them. There was a crash
as the frenzied animals swerved
from tbe road and dished wildly
over a neighboring pile of timber
then under the control of the
steely sinews . that gripped the
lines they were turned toward the
road and a moment later were
speeding toward Vinita and eafeiy.

It is probably true tbat almost every
man has in him certain qualities
which would draw some woman to
him but it is difficult to frame a
statement In general terms of "What
Women Like In Men." This is th
ta9k which a very well-known au-
thor under the non-de-pluue of Raf
ford Pyke has undertaken in the Cos-
mopolitan for July in a clever essay
which proves hloi to have made
woman the Subject of thorough ob-
servation and comprehensive study.
