An Ordinance Providing For the Crea
tion of Certain Funds and Appro
priating Money to These Funds and
Declaring an Emergency.
Whereas In Ordinance No. 857 pass
ed on the 13th day of September 1910
and approved on the 16th day of Sep
tember 1910 a tax of two (2) mills on
the dollar was levied for' sprinkling
the paved streets and
Whereas a deposit is required for
the use of meters which said deposit
has been for the want of a meter fund
been placed in the water maintenance
fund'
Now Therefore Be it Ordained by
the Mayor and Councilmen of the City
of Vinlta Oklahoma:
Section 1. That there be and Is I
hereby appropriated from the tax levy
of two (2) mills provided for in Ordi
nance No. 857 the sum of $1384.27 to
be used for the payment of sprinkling
and cleaning the paved streets which
said sprinkling fund is hereby created.
Section 2. That there is hereby
created a meter deposit fund Into
which shall be placed the money de
posited for the use of meters.
Section 3. For the reason thaj pub
lic necessity requires the Immediate
creation of the above named funds an
emergency is hereby declared to exist'
by reason whereof it is Immediately

An Ordinance Vacating the Strip of
Land Through Block 62 In the City of
Vinita Oklahoma Left as a Passage
Way Trough Said B'ock And Along
the Limits of the Original Corporate
Survey of Said City as Shown by
the Government Survey Thereof.
Whereas there has been filed with
the Mayor and City Council of the City
of Vinlta Oklahoma a petition signed
by all the property owners to be affect-
ed thereby asking that the strip of
land 30 feet wide running from South
Avenue north on west boundary of
Blocks 83-62-61-60 to Illinois Avenue
be vacated by said city and;
Whereas it has been ascertained by
said Mayor and City Council that said
strip of land is now included in the
corporate limits of said city and does
not conform to the survey of said city
so that same can be used as a street
alley or passage way for the public
Now Theerfore Be it Ordained by
the Mayor and Councilmen of the City
of Vinlta Oklahoma:-
Section 1. That the strip of land
running north and south through Block
62 o said City of Vinlta and left as
j'aasage way along the corporate
limits of the original survey of said
City as shown by the government sur
vey thereof be and the same hereby is
vacated by said City of Vinlta aaj
permanently abandoned by said city.
Section 2. For the reason that de
lay in vacating said strip is an injury
ti all the property in said block and
emergency is hereby declared to exist
by reason whereof it is immediately
necessary for the preservation of the
public peace health and safety that
this ordinance be in full force and ef-
fect from and after the passage ap-
proval and publication and it is so
ordered.
