"I'm glad I'm not my wife" said
the dyspeptic as he settled down to
his hygienic luncheon of rare roast
beef creamed onions and boiled rice1
relates the Philadelphia Record. "I'd
be dead if I were. I have trouble
enough keeping alive as It is.
"Fancy the Bhapa I'd be in if I had
to change my spots I mean my color
as often aa fickle fashion dictates.
Why I've forgotten what color my
wife originally was she's undergone
so many beauty transformations. And
now she's got to do it again.
"A friend just back from the other
side has told her that though red
hair continues to be the proper caper
it must now be backed up by green
eyes and a dead white skin. The hair
and skin are easy enough but even my
wife is a little afraid of the beauty
specialist who Is willing to undertake
to make her eyes look green.
"There's just one grain of comfort
In it all for nie though she achieve
the pallid skin the green eyes and the
red hair it will not give her a ten
perament to correspond. I shall yet
enjoy the modicum of peace it is in
her capricious nature to allow me."

Wheelbarrows of steel or wood or a
combination of the.se materials are
made in great variety of form and con-
struction and for many special uses;
but perhaps the newest thing In w heel-
barrows Is one made with a folding
steel frame which can be knocked
down for shipment. The tody and
handles of this wheelbarrow are of
wood but the lees and bracel consti-
tuting the supporting frame are of
steel and are riveted together and bolt-
ed to the body when the wheelbarrow
is set up.
The folding steel frame whee'barrow
may by virtue of its collapsibility j
present another advantage. It Is a j
garden barrow. It would bo quite pos- j
sible for the suburban dweller about
to start a pardon and impatient fo ;
