Cruce and McAlester will in all
probability be the ticket for gover-
nor and lleutenfait governor. At least
It looks that way in this part of the
state.
About the only cloud on the Cruce
ky at present Is the vague dread that
Haskell will have something to do
with his administration. This would
.Te serious If true but is not true.

Those who are so sure Bill Murray
will win the democratic nomination
for governor are the same fellows
who are also sure the primary elec-
tion is to be stolen from Murray.

In casting their votes for the demo-
cratic candidate for governor pro-
hibitionists should remember that Lee
ruce is the only tetotaier candidate
running. He voted for prohibition and
lias never violated the law.

Delware county Is largely in the hill
country of this Cherokee nation and
Present Indications are that the
census reports will show Oklahoma
entitled to ten representatives in con
gress. This makes It doubly import
ant that the state have a solid demo
cratic delegation in the next house.

Why do the republicans oppose the
"grandfather clause?" They want the
negro vote not because they love the
race or expect to give them any of the
offices but simply want the negro vote.
All Intelligent negroes will vote Just
the same after the adoption of this
measure. It is simply an educational
qualification.

J. F. McMurray acknowledges that
he Is Just as anxious as ever to dis-
pose of his Indian clients' segregated
coal lands and Incidentally from one
to two million dolars fee. Bill Murray
is just as anxious to sell the school
lands and buy these lands for the
state. Question: ' Has these harmon-
ious desires on the part of Murray and
McMurray any connection with the
big campaign fund at Murray's head
quarters at the Threadglll Hotel?
