Tee marshal's force to still keeping
close watch on all trains. No arrests
were made tost night but the eatie
eye of A. B. Breeker who has been
dubbed "Old Sleuth" by his associates
discovered a suspicious looking pack-
age unloaded from an incoming Frisco
train tost night consigned from
Peirce City Ma via the Welto-Fargo
express to Scott P. Joseph of this
city. When the package was opened
Mr. Breeker suspicions were found
to be correct- The stuff was spilled
two quart bottles of whiskey.
The railroads have issued very
strict orders against the introducing
of whiskey into the territory and it
to believed that the only whiskey that
comes through by freight is stuff so
disguised a to be unknown by the
freight agents They have all been
notified to accept no freight from
brewery or distillery agents unless
convinced by personal investigation
that the shipments contain no intox-
icants. But the express companies are no
so strict. They accept any shipments
They do not however guarantee de-
livery and as long as the present
activity of the force continues there
is considerable risk in making ship-
ments. Marshal Darrough promised that a
whiskey should be used at the comin
election and though he is out of tin
city after bigge gase than whisk e
peddlers. Deputy Depue and h's as
sistants are making an honest effor
to fulfill the promise.

"Words cannot speak highly enough
for the Cuticura Remedies. I am now
seventy-two year of age. My system
Baa been au run
down. My blood
nas so bad that
blood poisoning;
bad set in. I had
several doctors
attending me so
finally 1 wej?i to
the hospital wbere
I was laid up for
two months. My
foot and ankle were
almost bevond
r iwocnition. Dark
blood flowed out of wounds in many
pbres and I was so disheartened that
I thought surely my tost chance was
slowly leaving me. As the foot did
not improve you can readily imagine
bow I felt. I was simply disgusted
and tired of life. I stood this pain
which waa dreadful for six months
and during this time I was not able to
wear a shoe and not able to work.
"Some one spoke to roe about Cuti-
eura. The consequences were I bought
a set of the Cuticura Remedies of
one of my friends who was a drug-
gist and the praise that I gave after
the second application beyond
description ; it seemed a miracle
for the Cuticura Remedies took
effect immediately. I washed the foot
with the Cuticura Soap before applying
the Ointment and I took the Resolvent
at the same time. After two weeks' treat-
ment my foot was healed completely.
Ppople who had teen my foot during my
illness and who have seen it since the
cure can hardly believe their own evaa."
