Deputy Lee McCamish yesterday
arrested Richard Brown an Indian
at White Oak. Brown had with him
at the time a grip tilled with whisky.
McCamish spotted the man as lie was
coming in on the train and followed
him to his home before arresting him.
The Republican meeting held last
Saturday night at White Oak was the
best ever held at that place. The atr
tendance was large and the speakers
were C. B. Rogers W. H. Ham and
Frank E. Brandon. Those present
say the meeting did considerable good
for the Republican cause. A good
strong club was organized.
The biggest musical show of the
season is due here on October 25 at
at the opera house when Edward E.
Salter's newest jingle "Ikey and
Abey" will hand out a bunch of con-
vulsive laughter. Don't overlook tl
date. Aud above all things remem-
ber that Pierce and Roslyn. the Euro-
pean musical artists are an added
feature.
