The loss of life and limb " from
railroad accidents in this country has
become appaling. It is a subject pi
which thq national i t govirriment
should take supervision. It might
be well to begin by. providing .for a
federal inspection of Interstate rail-
roads somewhat along the lines of
federal inspection of steamboats al-
though not going so far; prehaps at
first all that it would be necessary to
have would be some officer whose
duty would be to investigate all ac-
cidents on interstate railroads and
report in detail the causes thereof.
. A crowded house greeted tho Lyman
Twins in "A Yankee Drummer" at
the Auditorium last night. . The play
was a musical comedy and the best
tiling that has been put on since the
opening night. The playing as well
as the sinking was exceptionally fine
and a crowd of people never left an
opera house better satisfied than those
who witnessed the play last night.
Messers. Butler & Byrd have a fine
list of attractions booked and they
deserve the hearty support of our peo-
ple in their effort to give them high-
class attractions. "Si Plunkard" who
comes tomorrow night is the best
farce comedy on the road and 'they
have a crowded house.

in Advance.
Guthrie Okla. Dec. 4 Anticipat-
ing tl:e ultimate passage of the Jim
Crow measure the Oklahoma Corpor: ;
tion commission will tomorrow cru-
cially publish their "Jim Crow" ord-
der providing for separate coaches for
whites and blacks.
Intense rivalry between the two
Democratic houses of the Oklahoma
legislature caused the house to work
overtime today in considering Skeeu's
'Jim Crow" bill with the hopes of
getting it through before a senate bill
on the same subject could reach tlw
house. It was then made special or-
der for tomorrow morning when in all
probability it will be passed. Tne Re-
publicans in the house will not oppose
the bill but will ask an amendment
that the matter of separate waiting
rooms for negroes be placed with t he
jurisdiction of the state corporation
commission with authority to exempt
such cities or towns where separate
rooms are not necessary.
A fight with union printers was
matched today wnen Speaker Murray
Introduced an emergency measure cre-
ating the office of state printer ap-
pointive by the governor at $2500
annual salary giving a $25000 bond
with power to appoint an assistant at
$1200 yearly and a stenographer at
$1000 yearly the bill to take effect
immediately after passage. The
Democratic state executive committee
has unanimously endorsed Clint C
Worrall editor of the Hobart Chief
for state printer but the Typograph-
ical union Is demanding the appoint-
ment of a journeyman printer of not
less than eight years practical expe-
rience. This bars Worrall and an In-
teresting fight is anticipated.

Did you ever sit on a mossy bank
and look at the sun-kissed brook as It
merrily dances in glee around the pro-
truding pebbles and feel glad that you
were alive? Well the same sensation
you will experience when you witness
Si Plunkard. It is a laughing bub-
bling pure heart and hum story.
When the curtain falls on the last a' t
you feel as refreshed as if you had just
drank a cup of spring water. "Si
Plunkara" with J. C. Lewis In the
title role comes to the Auditorium
