VINITA. IND. TER SEPT. 3.

"To reach high and dig deep"
is a good axiom for all grand juries
to follow.
King Com wi.U make life in the
Cherokee Nation a continuous car-
nival this year.
School will be a serious popi.
Bltion to the juvenile Vinitun wita
a circus and a street fair tn divert
hia thoughts.
There are five ministers on the
Muskogee grand jury which will
insure the obsequieB of the joint
keepers being properly performed.
The consumation of the proposed
work of laying out the roads lead
ing into Vinita will be of incalcul-
able value to the oity. It will turn
an immense amount of trade this
way which with the present poor
lines of communication with the
surrounding country is going to
other towns. It is to be hoped
that in connection with this good
work when a stream is encountered
it will be bridged.
With the enlisting of the mer-
chants generally in the commercial
club that valuable organization
would soon be in a position to do
great service in advancing the in
terests of the city. It has though
handicapped by a lack of interest
accomplished much in the im-
provement of roads and in many
other wayB its value to the city
has been Bhown. A little more
assistance from the merchants will
enable its scope of usefulness to be
greatly enlarged.
Lingering; Summer Colds.
Don't let a cold run at this season.
Sunnier colds are the hardest kind to
cure and if neglected may linger along
for months. A lonff siee like this
will pull down the strongest constitu-
tion. One Minute Cough Cure will
brealc up the attack at once. Safe
sure acts at once. Cures coughs
colds croup bronchitis all throat
and lung troubles. The children like

A Summer Trip Unsurpassed On the
Continent.
The trip to Salt Lake City or to the
Pacific coast via that point over the
Denver & Rio Grande and the Rio
Grande Western is the most beauti-
ful in America. No European trip of
equal length can compare with it in
grandeur of scenery or wealth of
novel interest. Then Salt Lake City
itself is a most quaint acd picturesque
place and well worth the Journey. Its
Mormon temple tabernacle tithing
office and church institutions; its hot
sulphur springs within the city limits
