charge J with tlie murder of Dr. Mar-
tin W. Auspitz August last pleaded
guilty to manslaughter in the first de-
gree here today and wa3 remanded
for sentence Friday.. The crime to
which the young woman plead guilty
waa sensational. She killed Auspitz
buq said because he had attacked her
while she was under the influence of
anaesthetics. She was a nurse in the
sanittariiun which Auspitz conducted.

The Cuimrcial club held a call meet-
ing Monday afternoon to consider the
appointment of committees relative to
the selection er a site for the eastern
insane asylum to be built here this
slimmer. l he following committee
was selected to raise the funds neces-
sary for the purchase of the situ and
for drilling the' artesian well which
it was agreed would be furnished on
the site: Lucien Bufllng'on J. W. Orr
Oliver Bngby 11. A. McFarland. Win.
Little. W. K. lialisell and T. A. Chand-
ler. The following committee was
chosen to select the site for the asy-
lum: T. M. Btifllngton T. A. (hand-
ler and J. W. Orr.

REVOLUTIONARY OUTBREAK
Guthrie Okla. April 15. Beginning
today the railroads of Oklahoma will
refuse to accept shipments of cattle
from Texas points into the Osage
country pending a determination of
the suit brought by County Attorney
L. V. Roberts of Osage county to re-
strain the roads from accepting such
shipments.

before the board of agriculture today
and aneunced that they had taken
this step anticipating that an injunc-
tion will probably bo Issued In the
county court of Osage county Friday.
i'he attorneys asked the board to
abolish temporarily the quarantine
line that is now placed below usage
county so ns to permit the free ship-
ment of Texas cattle into the Osage
country for at least thirty days on
one dipping after which the line
could be re-established. They stated
that if this action is not taken by the
board and the Injunction is issued
the shipment of cattle to the Osage
pastures will be entirely stopped and
bat the ';ttler"'1 who have spent
millions of dollars in securing pasture
nnd contracting for cattle in Te-xns
will be financially ruined.
John Leahy of Pawhuska appeared
The conunislsoners of the land olllce
have directed the secretary to notify
each lessee of the appraisement of bis
lease land nnd improvements. The
secretary expects to have a notice
showing appraised value of land nnd
improvements in the possesion of the
lessees In not later than one week.
The department force is working
night and day In order to accomplish
this.
The hearing on the appraisement is
set for April 29th 1009 at 10 n. in.

As soon 83 the appraisement is dis-
posed of the department will begin

third fire In a week at the Oklahoma
state Insane asylum at Fort Supply
twenty-five miles north west of here
last night destroyed the main asylum
hospital.
No lives were lost but it was neces-
sary to carry fifty six of' the fifty nine
patients out of the building.
