first in the production of these great
products.
The suggestion that this carnival
be made a n-eriranent annual event Ii
good and wight to be so ordered
People would be taught to expect and
prepare for it and the successful and
profitable culture of these product
would be greatly promoted
The square deal will be the motto
and to that end the grain will bo
judged by the standards of the Agri-
cultural college and the cotton by the
best expe'ts from Texas and the new
state
There Is much yet to be learned of
cotton culture and even concerning
the faithful old corn crop. To that end
some of the best lecturers In the
country will be present both to In-
stnict and 1o entertain.
There Is no use trying to describe
all the tip things. The thing to do
Is come and see.
PRESENT ERA OF
GOOD FEELING.
Tile (fuestlon of the permanent loca-
tion of the state capital is In-gely in
the hands of the citizens of Cuthrl
ami on their actions for the next five
years depends whether or not that
city Ixjoines the periranent sent of
the stated government. If Guthrie
rlnes to the occasion and provides
ample and good accommodations for
visitors to that city during the next
few years and sends her guests away
well pleased with their reception th
sentiment for Outhrle will become
crystallzed and that city will win In
the location election without serious
opposition. If on the other hand
visitors to Guthrie are held up by the
local establishments and made to put
up with the Inconveniences of a
wester nboonv town there will qulcklv
be an organised force at work to
punish them by the removal of the
executive offices and other state Insti-
tutions at the surliest opportunity. At
the present time there Is no senti-
ment agalns Guthrie and it remains
with the cltliuns of that place to
maintain tho present era of good feel-
ing and make certain of becoming
the administration city or Oklahoma.
Sfnskogoe Phoouix.
Call at tho capital city and try our
brand of eating nccommodntion and
hospitality. No effort wll be spared
to keep abreast of the times and to
eontlnue to merit the good will oi our
sister cities which we esteem as of
highest value.
Outhrle is up and coming and will
not only seek to care for Isltors from
over the new state but will furnish
them sotr first cIshh opportunities to
engage in Business anu uihhw mui--
money.
Commercially. Guthrie Ih all right
Though It highly osteons the honoi
of being the capital city it is In n.
wise dtiendent upon it. It is anl
will continue to be a fiiHt class city
In any event
As b capita! city Guthrie has the
ambition to retain the good will of
every c Ity In the new state It ajes
not wish to do this by any fanfare of
trumpets but solely on its own merltH.
Come over and mix with us and
welcome.

manufacturing standpoint
