fying storm came up from tho south-
wefat ai about G:30 o'clock In tho even-
ing and a few moments later a wind
storm of great velocity struck tho
town accompanied by rain and hall.
The hailstones wero as large as ordl
nary hen eggs. Immediately after this
tho funuel-shaped cloud made Its ap-
pearance. It appeared coming from
tho southwest and at first moved in a
northeasterly direction then It ap-
peared to halt for a moment and then
moved directly northward. Again It
turned and moved duo jeouth for about
half a mile then turned to tho north-
ward up the river and afterward dis
appeared front view In a northeasterly
direction.
Tho track of the storm was about
half a mile In width. It destroyed sov-
teomo cattle and horses and injuring a
Aogro woman so bidly that sho dlod.
