Surveying Parties Are Now
Locating the Coalgate
Line.

Denison Tex. July 16. 'The Herald
says:
Denison Is Boon to havo a direct lino
to Quthrio. Tlls morning tho Mis-
souri Kansas and Toxas railroad put
four parties of .ju.-voyoru in tho field
Burveylns a line from Guthrie to Coal-
gate whore it will connect with the
Denison and Wash'lta Valley Railroad
company. The road Is to be built un-
der iho name ot tho Texas and Okla-
homa Railroad company.
The trackage ot the Danison and
Washita Valley Railroad company ox-
tends from Denlson to Warner Junc-
tion five miles north ot Donison and
consists of about flftysoven miles of
yardage In Denison and tho West Den-
ison yards. Tho mileage of the com-
pany in tho Indian territory extends
from Atoka to Coalgate Indian terri-
tory covering the Lehigh and Coalgate
oral fields.
By the terms of tho transfer the
property of the Donison and Washita
"Valley Railroad company extending
from Atoka to Lehigh soven miles Is
to bo transferred to the Missouri Kan-
sas and Texas Railroad company ot
Kansas nnd the mileage from Lehigh
to Coalgate sovon mileo is to become
the property of tho Texas and Okla-
homa railroad the company that hns
been organized for the purposo of
building tho extension from Oklahoma
to Coalgate.

To tako charge of tho property of tho
Missouri Kansas and Texas Railroad
company In the Indian territory the
Southwestern Coal and Improvement
company has been organized and the
property of tho old Southwestern De-
velopment company has been trans-
ferred to tho now company. This con
sists of mining property at Coalgate
and Lehigh and at Mineral Kas. I
The charter of tho Texas and Okla-'
homa Railroad company has boon tak-'
on out in Oklahoma. The road will
be managed and the property from
Lehigh to Coalgate 'IH be included
in tho muitfngo as will the rest of
tho line an fast na built. When tho
property Is bulk and ready for opera-
tion It will bo turned over to the Mis-
souri Kansas and Texas Railroad com-
pany as n part of tnelr mileage nnd
will become a part of tho main lino of
the Missouri Kanbas and Texas from
Coffoyvlllo Kas. td Donison.
Tho survey. It Is expected will bo
sromnletod within sixty days and con-
struction will immediately follow.
Right ot way In the Indian territory
Will be necured as fast as the lino is lo-
cated and contracts will bo lot Im-
mediately1. Tho extension from Coal-
gato to Oklahoma will bo begun
before tho oxtonsion of tho lino from
Cofoyvlllo Kas. la fcomplotod to
Guthrlo and whon tho lino Is com-
pleted trains will bo operated from
Denison to Guthrie and from Guthrlo
to Parsons Kas.

ot the Denison and Washita Valley
Railroad company was seen by a Her
aid roportor this morning and ssid:
"This extonslon of tho road from Coal-
gate to Oklahoma Is to bo built nt
once nnd tho property of tho Doni-
son and Washita Valley lying in the
Indian territory has beo ntranstorred
to the Toxaa and Oklahoma railroad
which company will construct tho lino.
The nnpporty of the Denison aindy
Washita Valloy In Toxas Is not affect-
ed by tho transfer in the territory but
will still bo leased nnd operated by
tho Missouri KanSfts and Toxas Rail-
road company."
