near Oswogo early this morning Jas.
V. Drydon shot and killod a highway-
man who hnd robbed Wmi and his
brother of two hundred dollars and
marched a second robber boforo him
to the Oswogo police station. Three
men hnd como upon the Drydons un
awaro in a box car while they woro
asleep and robbed thorn. James Dry-
don seized one of tho ronbers at a fa-
vorable opportunity and after chok-
ing him into submission secured hi;
rovolver and shot and killed him. A
second man who givjes his namo as
George Gray submitted to arrest. The
third escaped. Tho DrydonB are on
their way homo from McAlester I. T.
to Lawrenceburp Mo. Tho Identity of
the dead man is not known
