The new town of Campbell located 16 miles east of Guthrie on
the Eastern Oklahoma Railroad was officially opened at private
sale Monday and a large number of lot purchasers were present
At the close of the day a review of the sales showed that the lots
sold had averaged up well. Taking all in all the sale was very
satisfactory. The Stowe Hardware Company of this city selected
their lot early in the day and at once commenced the erection of a
business house. Other lot buyers came to Guthrie to purchase
lumber for buildings to be erected at once- Before the week has
passed Uampbell will look quite cityfled The sale of lots will con-
tinue in the townsite office in the rear of the Bank of Indian Terri-
tory i where Mr- H. F. Ardery represents the company. He has
plats of the townsite and can explain the exact location of each lot.
The much talked of excursion over the new road will come off as
soon as the road is completed to Campbell which will be soon
Campbell is destined to make one of the best towns in Oklahoma.
Xt is in the very richest section of the territory and is a beautiful
townsite high sightly and healthy.
