The city council met last night with
Mayor Ilerkey presidl. g a- d all mem-
bers present The only busln ss trans-
acted was In relation to the Havighoret
proposition for sinking a well und the
remitting of. u. few Ones.
The water committee made a favor-
able report concerning the proposition
of J II. Havighorst and associates.
On motion of J 13. Hall the terms of
the project were made final to the
effect that a company be formed with
a capital stock of 85000 composed of
the city of Guthrie with 12500 and J.
H. Havighorbt ct al the renin n ng
82.500 whereby a well will bo sunk on
the city property near the water works
station If water is found in suflluicnt
quantities the city is to use the same
at a stipulated price and if oil gas or
mineral s found the city is to have 45
per cent interest in the well.

David Mitchell by Judge Hurfcrl and
that lie be committed to the city jail
until the fine was paid was remitted
