Tlio Wife of Captain Twamloy Becomes
Tired of Conjugal Joys.
Mrs. Jano Twamloy wlfo of tho
doughty esptaln has becomo wcacy of
wedded blus and yesterday filed hor
potttlon In tho district court for an
absolute decree and an injunction for-bldding-tuTf
captain i "interfcrrlng in
any way with herself and 17-year-old
daughter Ruby. The iojunction was
granted.
Tho petition recites that they were
married June s 1801 in Troy New
York and that shortly after tho mar-
riage Captain Twamloy developed a
violent temper in which ho abused and
vilified Mr3. Twamley in tho most
cruel and abusivo manner. Since
their removal to Guthrie in 1880 so
tho petition says these violent out-
bursts of temper havo Increased and
he has frequently assaulted the
plaintiff and at one time throw piece
of iron at her with rrcat force which
barely missed her and has frequently
thrown articles of furniture and hou'C-
hold cneHe and further has often
kicked beat bruised and wounded tbo
pi-lntllT and mado the life of herself
ami 'laughter a burden
'lhupotltlon further recites that at
ono time thn captain camo homo and
complained of being sick and that
Mrs. Twamley as a dutiful wife
should applied a cloth saturated with
cold water to his head. Far from ap
preciating tlilB act tho captain threw
soma heavy substsuco at her with
such force that hu fell out of bed and
became so violent thatsho and her
daughter took refugo with a near
neighbor clad only in their night-
dresses. Mrs. Twamley closes her petition by
ssying that this state of things keeps
her In perpetual dread and she there-
fore asks for a decreo of divorce and
the custody of her daughter.
