wam was litterly packed. I should
judge fully 3.500 people were packed
in this tmllding. Senator Martin's

Blck so I had It all my way and was
tho speaker of tho day.
At night tho torch procession was
over a milo long. Tho opora house
was packed. It was a tine audience

flow meeting. It was a groat rally.
Senator Martin. Gov. Leidy and my-

Kansas at Wichita and It was a rally
outside of tho national conventions

speech I delivered but I will say that
I never saw such an enthusiastic
crowd.

Jerry Simpson will beat Long by 2000

duced by ex Governor Lowelllng as a
curtain riser but it soon became evi-
dent that ho should have beon tho
main orator of tho day for ho cer-
tainly took a greater hold on the
crowd. Ex-Senator John Martin pro-
nounced him tho most catchy Popo-
cratlc stump speakor ho had hoard In
this campaign If Mr. Hagan had aB
much good sonso as bis brother in
choosing a right causo to speak on he
would make quite a reputation. Ills
main effort was in tho line of sixteen
to ono strictly und as he punctuated
his best nolnts of argument with a
good btory ho had tho woods full of
people in splendid humor for the ad
