The small cyclone which passed near
Itrttton Tuesday afternoon eontiuuod
on northeast ani continued to "do
business" all along the route growing
in fury as It wont.
About seven miles east of Laugston
along the Cimarron river it suddonly
dropped down and destroyed ttie resi-
dences of Samuel Do unison and Oil as.
Skinner. Mr. Dennison was badly in-
jured but the others escaped.
Much other damage was done in that
neighborhood.
The same cyclone continued ou
through Payno county doing more or
less damage as it went along. Three
miles east of Stillwater greet havoc
was wrought
Simon McCarthy's house and atl out
houses were blown down but the large
family were saved by taking refuge In
a pit. Meagre reports tell of seven
dwellings and numerous out build
ings that were blown to pleaea but
fortunately no Uvea were lost. It Is
thought the damage near Dawson was
greater as the reports Indicate tha'
the further east it weut the more ter
rific it got.
The damago to property will amount

schools in the north Logan county dis-
trict falls upon decoration day the en-
tire rally will be held on Sunday the
31st day of May i800 In the Mulhull
grove one-half milt southwest of Mul-
