Wo the undersigned cltlsens of the
United Sutw propose to and do here-
by form a charitable corporation un-
der the constitution and laws of the
Territory of Oklahoma and for the
purpose of such organization we here-
by state the following organic laws
rules and regulations by which the
corporation Is to be governed to wit
First: The name of the corporation
shall be "The Children's Homo Society
of the Territory of Oklahoma." auxil-
iary to the International Children's
Home Socio ty in the state of Illinois.
Second: The object for which the
corporation Is formed is to take charge
of negleeted destitute and homeloss
children whoso parents aud guardians
are unable to suitably provide fur the
comfort welfare and education of such
indigent ebildran and to throw around
them those moral and elevating in-
fluences necessary to raise and develop
them to higher planes of manhood and
vomanbooil the accomplishment of
which purpose U to be done by suit-
able parsons and agencies whose duties
it shall be to seek in the community at
large the children suitable ana desir-
able as recipients of the charitablo ob-
jects doclarod horeiu and wheu such
children of both sexes are taken charge
of by the corporation it shall bo tho
duty of the directors herein designated
to seek and furnish eligible and suit
ablo family homes for such children
and to provide by consent with the
custodians of such children their obli-
gations and duties to such children
and if it should bs found or nut to

poration may change or dispense with
the provisions of this charter.
Third. The control and manage-
ment of tho corporation shall be
vested in six directors which may bo
inuuased iu number from time to
time as necessity aud tho welfare of
the corporation may require. Thoso
dircolors at thu ttval and preliminary
organization shall be elected to sorve
a period of three yoars one-third of
wtioin shall be elected blonnially
thereafter as the corporation may
provide lu its by-laws The following
named persous aro hereby selected
and declared directors of the corpora-
tion for the first term to-wlt:

Fourth. The corporation shall have
power to sue and bo sued in the courts
of this territory on all questions in-
volving its corporate rights and
powers it shall have power to ro-
colve donations by lust will and testa-
ment or otherwise and to hold real-
ostale whien it may deem necessary to
carry out the objects of tho corpora-
tion as herein doelared. It shall bavu
power to receive in writing from the
pareuU or guardian the legal surren-
der of such children as may be com-
mitted to Its cure and when such
power evidenced by writing is given
to the corporation it shall in no in-
stance be rescinded by such parout or
guardian without the consent of the
corporation
Fifth. The corporation shall exist
for fifty years and by a two-thirds
vole pf the director tils charter may
be amended trout time to time as ex-
perience and neeeesity far such
amendment may iu the future bo
developed.

adopt by -laws and rules and regula-
tion not inconsistent witli this
charter for thu regulation oonduot

and affairs embracing the election or
appointment of ofilcors agents and
other employee of the corporation the
fixing of compensation to ofilcors

Seventh. The location of the local
board of directors shall be at Guthrie
in the Territory of Oklahoma until
further or otherwise provided.
