The following gem which has been
going tho rounds of tho press without
credit should be cut out by every man
and pasted In his hut us a reminder of
his duty when he desires to speak ill
of nny woman's character. Remember
this young mun be careful how you
speak of a woman's character. Think
how many years she has been building
IL of tho tolls and privations endured
of tho wounds received und let no sus-
picion follow her notions. Thu purity
Is the salvation of the race the hope
of future greatness and the redemp-
tion of man. Wipe out her purity und
man sinks beneath the wave of do-
spair with not a star to guide his
life Into the channels of safety. Then
think before you speak. Remember
that any hog can root up tho fairest
(lower that grows so the vilest mun can
ruin the purest woman's character.
For some time u townte contest

making the sale of the Dale site to of-
fer to return the money he hud re-
ceived and It was uccepted. Then it
happened thai the site belonged to the
Indian toguthcr with the buildings
und improvements. The Indian com-
missioner decided that the citizens
should not be robbed of their improve-
ments and that the money for the
bile be offered to the Indian and if he
did not accept it place the money 1 n
a bank and the department would pro-
ceed to issue patents for the site und
inform the Indian he could take tho
money out of tho bank at any time he
desired.
