The Onthrle building and loan asso-
ciation which has grown to be the
most extensive and prosperous finan-
cial institution in the West now eon-
templates a number of important
changes in its plan of operations made
necessary by its rapid growth. The
stockholders will at an early date vote
upon a numtxr of amendments to the
constitution which together with the
liberal pr-mlum of the building and
loan law passed by the present legis
lature will still further augment the
growth and properity of the association.

The average temperature during the
week was no degrees degrees below
the normal. There has been an abun-
dance of sunshine but the much need-
ed rain has failed to come and alto-
gether our correspondents send In re-
ports which are anything but encour-
aging. Heavy rains fell in portions of
OKlahoma and Logan counties Sunday
night they however were local and
extended over but a limited area.
It In generally conceded that the
wheat Is nearly ail destroyed; many
counties will not raise enough for seed.
o4i is greatly injured probably 50
per cent ef the entire acreage has
Wen killed by the drouth and high
wind at rins.
Corn so far has done no good; many
fields have to be entirely replanted;
however there is plenty of time yet
for this crop.
Marly potatoes are so fir a failure;
vegetables and garden truck are very
backward. Prospects ate yet good for
fruits of all kinds.
