l'oltl Woltl 11. Te April 2-'. All of
Texas has needed rain so the great
evangelist Dwlght Moody culled upon
his audience of S.ooo Christians to pray
fervently Hint the ltoodgate might be
opened. This was at It p. in. yesterday.
At night when the Tabernacle was
crowed by 10000 people from I'ort
Woith ainl surrounding cities Mr.
Moody announced that word hud come
fiomscveral pointsthnt rain had fallen.
A few minutes later the storm burst
mi Fort Worth and torrents of rain fell.
Then Mr. Moody gave thanks to (iod
and called upon the congregation to
join in singing "Coronation" and "All
Mail the Power of .lesus' Name Let
Angels Prostrate Fall." The song had
surged forth from 10000 voices when
a crackling' noise was heard and then
the 1 oof sank and the rafters gave way
and the heavy timbers and boards cov-
ered with tar and gravel came down
on a portion of the congregation.
There was a panic Scores upon
so it-s of women fainted some men
lost their heads anil piled pell-mell
over those near them. Mr. Moody
grasped the situation and moving to
tlie middle of the platform lifted
both hands to heaven moving ills arms
slowly to and fro. Ills attitude and
coolness stopped the panic anil men
began to go to work to rescue those in
danger. A. dienehliigiatu was falling
but they worked hard and the wounded
weve soon taken out and carried to
their homes Or to tlie houses nearby.
About forty persons were slightly
hurt.

practically fixes tlie price of cattle on
