WITH FLAVOR OF CINNAMON
ExcclUnt Recipe for Buna If On la
Fond of the Peculiarly
Pungent Taile.
Runs: "Mix one half cup of uugar
and Hi teaspoons of cinnamon and
turn it into the mixing pan under the
piece of dough left therein. Sift a
little flour over the dough aud knead
p.lowly; be certain that each turning
of the dough takes up augur and cin-
namon. Occasionally drop a table-
spoon of currants on top of the dough
and at the kneading goes on the cur-
rants are kneaded in. Once In a
while butter the bands well and In
this way work in a little butter. When
a scant tup of currants has been
kneaded In as well as several dust-
lngM of flour nip the dough and if it
doesn't '"squeak" cut off bits and form
into t'scuits or buns. This amount
makes 12 buna. Dot the top of each
all over with butter and set to raise.
It generally takes longer for the b'ins
to double their 'ze in raising than it
does the plain loaf. The buns can
be allowed to raise a little mote than
the regulation "double their original
bulk." Bake the buns just as biscuits
are baked.
