The People's Store.
Never has any store shown up to
greater advantage than did the Peo-
ple's store on the occasion of their fall
opening. The immense variety of
goods displayed added much to tiie
pleasure of the crowd that all day and
evening thronged the store. The mil-
I linery section which is a new feature.
added this year was especially attrac-
tive. Velvet bats in midnights hlue
"tete de negro" and the ametystim;
miades hold full sway and black silk
plush and velvet hats by (lecrgos He
boux and a dozen other well r.nown
French makers give tbo sign and stal
of correctness in imported styles.
Other hats by American designers are
as pleasing as the French creations.
The windows of the store were espec-
ially attractive suits dresses and
(veiling gowns of the latest styles be-
ing displayed the exhibition of wo-
men's ready-to-wear gorrls being very
complete.
Mrs'' Baldwin. )
.Mrs. Bertha Baldwin and her able
assistants welcomed over three hun-
dred of Ohickasiri's ladies at her mil-
linery opening Wednesday evening
The parlors were very attractive es-
pecially the French room which is a
new feature of the establishment. The
window display was beautiful and
handsome pearl hat pins were given
as souvenirs. All ibe newest and most
attractive "creations'' were shown
Mrs. Baldwin's stock offering a wble
seleclion.
To sum of the whole story Chick-
asha is indeed richly bb'ssed in tli
way of first class millinery shops and
one need not consider the purchasing
o'. the fall ami winter bat an irksome
task to be Koue through with. On the
contrary with tbo handsome and up-to-date
line which the C'bickasha millin-
ers are offering the duty becomes a
pleasure and a joy
